Beer Kits and Grains

Homebrew beer kits and lager kits have advanced making homebrewing easier than ever.  Most standard 1.8kg (4lb) beer kits are poured straight into the fermentation bin with just a kilo of sugar - gone are the days of messy boiling.  Homebrew yeasts have improved too and the sour yeasty taste once associated with home brewed beer kits is all but gone.  John Bull Masterclass kits don't even require extra sugar.

Homebrew kits can be by adjusted by replacing some or all of the sugar with malt extract, spraymalts or brewing sugar.  The Munton's beer` kit enhancer does just that, but with some experimentation you can make homebrew that you can really call your own.

Hardcore home brewers may want to go for a full mash beer made entirely from grains.  See the brewing equipment section for the equipment you'll need
